Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform residential solar service and warranty work with safety, quality, and customer experience at the forefront.

The role requires problem-solving, strong service mindset, and the stamina for continual improvement across field tasks, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the Solar industry.
• Solar service experience is required.
• Solar Battery installation experience is required.
• Knowledge with Enphase, Tesla and Solaredge monitoring systems.
• Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.).
• Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs).
• Must be willing to travel.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work, including peers and customers
• Current Driver’s license, and clean drivers abstract

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the completion of service and warranty related projects
• Responsible for successfully completing quality audits post installation
• Responsible for Troubleshooting and resolving residential solar warranty and service issues that are triggered from modules, monitoring and storage/ batteries
• Investigate, mitigate and repair reported roof leaks
• Responsible for troubleshooting AC/DC systems
• Participate in weekly safety meetings as well as department meetings
• Completes all documents for each project and successfully closes cases/ tickets in CRM
• Perform other tasks and duties as required

Position Overview:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing all services in a safe and timely manner. We expect this candidate is responsible for the completion of all residential service and warranty related work with focus on safety, quality, and customer experience. • Valid CA Driver's License


• The ability to travel within California on a Weekly basis based on project location.


• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements

The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 75 pounds.
