Job summary

DeBellis Catherine & Morreale - Corporate Staffing is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform field service, installation, and customer training on agricultural packaging equipment in the Northeast. The role involves 20-25% travel, with some air travel and driving, and includes a company vehicle.

75% of time will be in the shop on machine builds, testing, tear-down, and crating for shipment, with additional component repair or recalibration work as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician with automated machines/equipment.
• Strong electrical knowledge and ability to wire electrical panels.
• Strong mechanics knowledge to fix equipment and conveyor systems.
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

My client is a leader in the agricultural packaging machine industry and seeks an exceptional candidate to do field service, installation, and customer training activities on agricultural packaging equipment.

A successful candidate will have demonstrated exceptional electrical, electronic sensors, mechanical skills, and conveyor systems. Ideally, it would be nice to have someone with a certification in electronics and experience programming PLC’s.

The position involves fieldwork with a variety of customers in the Northeast and some on the Eastern Seaboard (20-25% travel) Some by air and some drivable. A company vehicle is available for trips by car. 75% of the time would be in the shop on machine builds, testing, machine tear-down and crating for shipment. Also, some components come in from customers that need repair or recalibration.

Technical skills required:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician with some type of automated machines/equipment.
• Strong electrical knowledge and skills, with an understanding of and ability to wire electrical panels.
• Strong knowledge of equipment mechanics with strong mechanical skills to fix equipment and conveyor systems,
• Very strong diagnosis, trouble-shooting, and technical problem-solving skills
• A positive mindset, strong character, and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong, long-lasting, and positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• A team mindset and approach to work, and the ability to effectively work independently with very limited oversight and direction.
• A strong ability to effectively handle stress and to overcome obstacles.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in developing skills that support equipment sales.

Above average compensation package - $70-75K base salary range + lucrative bonus structure
