Job summary

The Bachrach Group seeks an experienced Remote Field Service technician to troubleshoot and repair grinding and lathe equipment across national sites. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance while providing strong client-facing remote and onsite training.

This role requires 2+ years of hands-on repair experience, familiarity with PLCs and CNC controls, and the ability to work autonomously across travel-heavy assignments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Electronics, Machine Tool, or Mechatronics.
• 2 years of troubleshooting and repair of grinding or lathe equipment.
• Hands-on electrical/mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on machine tools.
• Proficient with PLCs and knowledge of CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of machine design, operation and repair practices.
• Very client facing, onsite and remote training and complex equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting and repair of grinding or lathe equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults on machine tools.
• Provide client-facing training and remote support for complex systems.
• Read schematics and implement repair procedures.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure service quality and uptime.
