Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client to search for a Field Service Technician in Madison, WI. This role offers opportunities for career growth, with extensive training available, including forklift repair if you have a solid Mechanical background.

Role details: 90% fieldwork with real-time troubleshooting, local travel only, home nightly.

Compensation: $26.00-34.00/hour base + OT, company vehicle, gas card, $2,500 interest-free tool loan.

What You Will Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, including battery-powered and traditional diesel and gasoline machinery; perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals related to forklifts and construction equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections; address issues as needed.
• Communicate repair needs, provide estimates, and explain work to customers, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and professional service van; report maintenance needs promptly.

Education and Work Experience:

• At least 4 years of US Military experience with Mechanical/Electrical MOS.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Professional demeanor and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Availability for overtime, emergency service, or weekend callouts.
• Prepared to discuss diagnostics, schematics, and repairs.
• Clear communication and professionalism.
