Job summary

Stalmic Distributors is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel across the region repairing and maintaining meat room equipment. You will learn on-the-job and perform preventative maintenance on wrappers, meat saws, dicers, CRMs, and grinders, with company-provided truck, phone, and tablet to support on-site work.

Responsibilities include on-site maintenance at customer locations, handling break-fix calls, and participating in weekend and holiday on-call rotations with additional pay.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen, MVR, and background checks.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electrical or equipment repair is a plus.
• Road experience a plus; willing to travel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job description

Field Service Technician - Traveling Stalmic Distributors' purpose is to help feed communities, and we are looking for a driven service technician to join our team in achieving this mission. This service tech will receive on-the-job training in our niche market of meat room equipment. They will learn to repair and perform maintenance on all sorts of meat processing and packaging equipment, such as, but not limited to, wrappers, meat saws, dicers, CRMs, and grinders. Once trained, they will travel to customer locations in our area and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the equipment located within our area. Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000 yearly salary

• Service technicians are on the road throughout the week and home on weekends.
• They will perform maintenance on the meat room equipment.
• They will take care of break-fix calls for meat room equipment.
• They rotate being on call for the weekend (earning them 24HUG pay).
• They have the option of working holidays (also earning 24HUG pay).
• They will be assigned a company truck (all maintenance and fuel company paid for), company phone (company pays the bill), and company tablet in order to perform their job duties.
• They will also be assigned company credit cards to take care of all of their on-the-road expenses, such as meals, hotel rooms, and fuel.
• They will also be required to participate in company goals and earn even more rewards.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be able to pass (and maintain the ability to pass) a drug screen, MVR, and background screen (something on your background and/or does not automatically disqualify you from qualifying for this position, but hiding it is likely to do so).
• Having experience in the electrical and/or equipment repair field is a plus, but not required.
• Having experience in a position where you were working on the road is a plus, but not a requirement (we are out all week and home weekends).
• Having experience being versatile and able to work independently, as well as working as part of a team, is highly desired.
• High school diploma or GED.

Compensation: $45,000-$60,000 per year
