Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in IT, CS, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience may be considered.
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, software, and related technologies.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Move, set up, and connect computers and related equipment.
• Verify network connectivity and assist users with access issues.
• Install, document, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support at customer sites and project sites.
• Train users on hardware, systems, and procedures.
• Travel to various sites each week to support project requirements.
• Maintain documentation of equipment, repairs, upgrades, and technical activities.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedField Service Technicianto provide hands-on technical support, hardware maintenance, and onsite equipment services throughout a project-based engagement from mid-September through mid-December.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology professional who is comfortable working directly with computers and hardware in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. This role will involve setting up, moving, connecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer equipment at various sites, as well as assisting users with basic technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Pick up, move, position, and set up computers and related equipment.
• Plug in and connect computer equipment and verify network connectivity.
• Assist users with logging in and resolving basic access or account-related issues.
• Install, document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems.
• Support and maintain user account information, including permissions, security, and system groups.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve product and equipment failures.
• Order and replace hardware parts and components as needed.
• Provide hands‑on technical support at customer and project sites.
• Train employees and users on applicable hardware, systems, and procedures.
• Determine and recommend products or services that best meet customer needs.
• Travel to various sites each week to support project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and, when appropriate, provide direction or leadership to other team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, repairs, upgrades, and other technical activities.
• Perform other related technical duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• 8–10 years of relevant experiencepreferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and hands‑on technical experience may be considered.
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, software, and related technologies.
