Job summary

HCLTech in Irvine is seeking a technical support specialist to assist with desktops, devices, and network systems while upholding security protocols in a sensitive environment. You will support executive meetings, handle hardware, and assist with security‑related activities.

Applicants should have 3+ years IT support experience and knowledge of Windows, macOS, networking and security basics. Certifications such as Security+ or A+ are preferred; ability to pass security clearance.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Support AV setups for meetings and events, including secure environments.
• Manage asset inventory, system upgrades, and IMACD tasks.
• Enforce physical and digital security measures, access controls, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with vendors and support infrastructure in secure locations.
• Support after‑hours incidents and security protocols as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years IT support experience in security‑sensitive environments.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, networking, and security basics.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Certifications such as Security+, A+, or equivalent preferred.
• Able to support within a 5–10-mile radius and pass security clearance.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
