Job summary

Brenton Engineering in Houston seeks a Field Service Technician to install, start-up and train customers on Brenton machines. You’ll diagnose issues, repair in the field and ensure readiness for shipment, using Rockwell PLCs, HMI systems and Fanuc robots.

Qualifications

• Direct and assist customer personnel in installation, start-up and training.
• Provide technical service support when machines are not performing.
• Provide Engineering with accurate updates on changes made in the field.
• Be integral to final checkout of machines before shipment.
• Move easily through PLC and HMI programs mechanically and electrically.
• Fluent in setup and operation of Brenton product lines: case packers, shrink wrappers, and Fanuc controllers.

Responsibilities

Are you motivated about this work?

• Direct and Assist customer personnel in the installation, start-up and training of Brenton machines and systems.
• Provide technical service support to customers when their machines are not performing
• Provide Engineering Department with accurate updates on all changes made to machines in the field.
• Be an integral part of the team for final checkout of machines assuring they are ready for shipment.
• Be technically competent, Mechanically and Electrically, with the ability to move through and edit PLC and HMI programs easily.
• Fluent in setup and operations of all three Brenton Product Lines (Case packers, Shrink Wrappers, and Fanuc Robots and Controllers).
  

Base Hourly Range:

$27.00 - $45.00

• Be technically competent, mechanically and electrical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work online with Rockwell PLC's and HMI's, navigate and make edits/changes to PLC and HMI programs.
• Fanuc Robot experience and certification highly desirable with 2-4 years of field experience.
