In the role of Field Service Technician (FST), you will perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance of healthcare equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair healthcare equipment for clients
- Accurately complete daily timecard, document work activities extensively through notes and pictures, complete and manage one’s own expense reports, and various other forms and documents as a regular course of business.
- Prepare documents using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrate professional etiquette with team members, superiors & clients
- Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills
- Maintain positive customer communication
- Problem-solving, escalating matters to KRW leadership as necessary
- Care for and ensure all company and client property remains in good condition
- Maintain environmental awareness
- Adhere to safety measures
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
Job Duties
- Communicate with Field Manager / Client Representatives
- Review work to be performed and understand installation locations
- Report discrepancies in scope work and/or inventory issues
- Communicate real-time issues that arise during the project
- Schedule
- Arrive to project on time as scheduled
- Report any delays that could affect customer completion timelines
- Installations
- Read and interpret installation diagrams and blueprints
- Determine installation locations and placement
- Remove existing dispensers
- Install wall-mounted liquid & chemical dispensers
- Keep work area clean and remove trash or old dispensers
- Provide Detailed Reports and Photos for work completed
- Complete detailed sign-off for work performed
- Provide photos showing work performed
- Document any issues with photos and detailed notes
- Upload photos and sign off into company system
- Manage Clients Parts Inventory
- Identify all inventory onsite prior to beginning installation
- Report any damaged or broken inventory immediately
- Record part number and provide photos
- Place damaged units back in their box
- Training
- Review installation documents and videos prior to beginning any project
Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of field service experience
- Proficient with standard hand tools, power drills, levels, etc.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office
- 1+ years of experience using mechanical and hand tools and service test equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree in Construction, Plumbing, Electronics, Computer Repair
- Associate degree in engineering, science, or technical field
- Previous professional experience in Construction, Plumbing, Electronics, Computers
- Customer-facing experience
