Position Reporting To

Regional Service Manager - South

Your Role and Responsibilities

1. Execute service work according to work instructions, ABB standards, quality, and safety guidelines.
2. Deliver quality customer service to ensure satisfaction.
3. Showcase expertise with a clear understanding of urgency and care in your responsibilities.
4. This role is based remotely with travel requirements.
5. Contribute to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in the Southern region.
6. Mainly responsible for:
   • Performing entry-level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and analyzing them remotely or on-site.
   • Preparing material lists and ensuring availability and quality of materials, parts, and equipment.
   • Executing work with a first-time right approach, on time, and meeting quality standards.
   • Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and providing recommendations to prevent future issues.

Qualifications for the Role

• Associate Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation, or Control, with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB 800xA/AC800M DCS is a plus. Formal training will be provided.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in DCS systems maintenance, configuration, and process control.
• Must be willing to relocate near Baton Rouge, LA; relocation assistance provided.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Fluent English and a valid driver’s license.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
