Job summary

Pro Spot International is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, repair, install, and maintain welding equipment at customer sites. You will demonstrate equipment use to end-users, provide maintenance and warranty support, and interact with customers to build relationships.

The role requires independent work, problem-solving, and strong communication in English, with overnight travel as needed. Medical, dental, and 401(k) benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades on Pro Spot equipment.
• Inspect, repair, install, and maintain welding equipment at customer sites.
• Interface with customers in person and over the phone to resolve inquiries.
• Create reports of service calls and weekly activities.
• Maintain warehouse inventory and assist with parts management.
• Participate in trade shows as needed and support field operations.

Job description

The Field Service Technician will be required to go on field service calls to inspect, repair, install, and maintain Pro Spot welding Equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to interface directly with customers in person and over the phone while building customer relationships. They must be able to demonstrate end-users how to use the equipment and provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty repair, and technical support. This position requires an innovative thinker, problem-solving abilities, computer experience, and initiative-thinking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades on Pro Spot equipment.
• Will have to work independently at the customer's business and/or provide telephone support to end-users in the area.
• Collaborate with customer service, shipping, and accounting departments to efficiently resolve customers' inquiries.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule as required (overnight travel)
• Ability to analyze and resolve issues independently and efficiently
• Responsible for accurately maintaining a parts inventory and the return of defective parts promptly.
• Create reports of customer service calls and weekly activities.
• Create expense reports.
• Maintain warehouse and inventory.
• Trade Show Participation – set up / tear down / work the show floor.
• Responsible for upkeep and regular maintenance on Pro Spot Van where applicable.

Requirements

• Experience with Industrial Maintenance
• Exposure to HVAC / Low-Voltage desired
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Able to read and understand equipment manuals.
• Must be able to pass the associated tests for each piece of equipment covered during training.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and initiative-taking.
• Must have good time management skills.Must have good communication skills to interact with both internal and external customers.
