Job summary

Jobtailor in Fresno, CA seeks a professional to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other lift trucks, and to perform planned maintenance for customers. You will maintain a service van, manage its inventory, and handle paperwork after each job, while delivering local support for material handling equipment.

The role requires less than 2 years experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or industry training preferred.
• Experience in lift truck repair is a plus, but entry-level candidates are considered.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks
• Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks
• Maintain a service van and its inventory
• Process paperwork after completing each job
• Provide local customer support for material handling equipment and services

Requirements

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no current or future sponsorship available
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, industry-related training, and knowledge of various testing equipment preferred
