Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair lift trucks and related equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety standards and providing clear repair reports.

You will coordinate with the Field Service Advisor, maintain a clean company vehicle, and carry required mechanic tools while delivering world-class customer service on every visit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on material handling or heavy industrial equipment.
• Auto, truck, or military repairs experience will be considered.
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily schedule with Field Service Advisor and respond to customer site appointments.
• Inspect the forklift/equipment and identify repairs needed; provide a full condition report and cost estimates.
• Perform on-site repairs and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
• Enter work orders and summaries; maintain clean and organized service van and workspace.
• Provide world-class customer service and clear communication with customers and dispatch.

Conduct overall inspection to verify the truck is up to safety standards and make recommendations on any required repairs. Enter necessary information on work orders and work order summary.
