Job description

Morrison Industrial Equipment is seeking Full-Time Field Service Technicians at our Elkhart location, 2988 Paul Drive, Elkhart, IN 46514-8796. The role involves traveling locally to customer sites using a company van to perform repairs on various products, primarily forklifts.

This position requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license, along with pre-employment drug screening, a physical exam, and a background check. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, first shift, totaling 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime.

Compensation starts at $22/hour, negotiable based on experience.

Our Service Technicians Typically:

• Possess good customer relations skills with clear communication
• Enjoy working independently or as part of a team
• Utilize technology such as laptops or tablets
• Have a valid driver’s license in good standing
• Have strong mechanical aptitude and abilities
• Can lift up to 50 pounds due to lift and move functions

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs
• Complete work orders promptly
• Coordinate daily with parts and service departments
• Keep work van clean and stocked with supplies
• Follow all safety procedures within Morrison’s guidelines
• Attend shifts reliably and be ready to work
• Perform additional duties as assigned

We offer training for newcomers and industry veterans alike. Once hired, technicians are enrolled in our comprehensive training program, which includes classroom instruction, hands-on training, e-learning, and mentoring—all fully paid.

No tools? No problem! Our “Tools for Technicians” program provides all necessary tools upon onboarding. This 18-month program allows technicians to retain tools after completion, with opportunities to earn certifications and additional tools throughout training.
