Enprotech is a supplier of repair, rebuilding, and field services for the metal forming and steel industry. We are rapidly growing and looking to expand our team! Enprotech is in search of positive attitudes that can provide urgency and innovative solutions to our customers.

Position Summary & Objective

We are looking to add a skilled Field Service Technician to our team out of the Lansing, MI or Elizabethtown, KY region. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer facilities to lead, manage, and provide hands-on work regarding the process of disassembly, repair, and assembly of different subassemblies or complete mechanical and/or forging presses.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

1. Ensure team is performing work in a safe manner, wearing all required PPE at all times.
2. Lead, manage, and supervise both customer and Enprotech employees in any maintenance and press repair actions.
3. Act as a customer site liaison for daily activities and planning.
4. Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment from component parts in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer specifications.
5. Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
6. Disassemble and reassemble metal forming presses which also requires rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, adjustment, etc.
7. Install lubrication blocks, lines, and general plumbing (i.e., pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.).
8. Troubleshoot hydraulic lubrication systems to determine necessary repairs to regain functionality.
9. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
10. Prepare and utilize basic hand tools including but not limited to ratchets, impacts, torque multipliers, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks.
11. Verify that parts are prepped, deburred, and free from defect prior to assembly.
12. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards using process inspection tools and devices.
13. Operate small lathes and mills to polish small parts and make keys.
14. Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment.

Qualifications

1. Ability to troubleshoot machines to diagnose problems.
2. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical codes including knowledge of pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers.
3. Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals.
4. Ability to fit fluid lines and pipes.
5. Ability to assemble and disassemble parts and systems.
6. Ability to 'think outside the box' and figure out problems associated with production operations.
7. Must be able to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and Engineers.
8. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
9. Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and grease.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Environment and Working Conditions

1. Shop environment and customer sites.
2. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as workload dictates.

Travel Requirements (percent)

1. Up to 100%
