Job Duties

  1. Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  2. Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
  3. Extensive travel nationally and at times internationally.
  4. Travel frequency and duration 50-75% based on your home location.
  5. Applicants should expect to be out of town for job sites for 2-3 weeks without returning home.
  6. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  7. Produce timely and detailed service reports
  8. Document processes
  9. Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic problems on Pregis packaging lines, basic computer networks, and Accessories/Peripheral systems including hardware and software.
  10. Tie workflow to schedule
  11. Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  12. Follow all company’s field procedures and protocols
  13. Collaborate with technical team and share information across the organization
  14. Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings
  15. Build positive relationships with customers
  16. Maintain excellent customer satisfaction by troubleshooting, repair, and escalation of ongoing technical issues in a timely manner.
  17. Utilize electronic testing equipment, wiring diagrams, and applications/tools available on the company’s laptop (Indra works, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Exor).
  18. Escalate difficult problems to the technical support group in a timely manner. Work with the installation team to install and commission new equipment.
  19. Prepare job time estimates and reports as requested by engineering.
  20. Communicate product knowledge clearly verbally and in writing (internal and external).
  21. Complete all paperwork promptly (expenses, timesheets, escalation reports, service reports, online training courses).

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  1. Associates degree or equivalent job experience
  2. 5+ years of job-related work experience in Electrical or Mechanical and Field Service
  3. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
  4. English literacy
  5. Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules, including overtime, weekends, and extended travel periods
  6. Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  7. Possess a valid driver’s license
