What to Expect Day to Day

Camlin Energy offers an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician based in the South Central America Region within our Global Services Department.

Responsibilities

• Represent Camlin by prioritizing customer satisfaction and ensuring field projects are maintained on track with professional support and excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Camlin's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
• Complete all relevant training, including external mandatory H&S training.
• Train on the installation, commissioning, and servicing of standard HV products within the Northern America region.
• Work within live sub-stations and network facilities in the designated region.
• Install and commission standard HV products.
• Perform general servicing and maintenance duties on HV products.
• Report work activities, including work orders and service appointments, to the Field Service Manager.
• Compile and submit reports on work carried out to the Operational Officer.
• Maintain communication with Field and Operational teams for efficient planning and scheduling.
• Communicate with the wider team regarding customer satisfaction, including post-work feedback.
• Support non-conformance issues within field projects, applying critical thinking and working with customer support for feedback and analysis.
• Perform other duties as required, with up to 70% travel as needed.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop skills.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in IT and good documentation management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends, and ability to travel within the region and to customer locations. A current passport and driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar, or 5 years of field experience in a similar role.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with communication protocols and carriers.
• Experience with software and hardware solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
• Experience interfacing directly with customers to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
