Job summary

Otovo SRL is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems in Dallas, TX. You will handle batteries, generators, and related equipment, interfacing with customers to explain status and repair steps.

This is hands-on electrical work requiring problem solving, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Travel locally and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
4+ years of electrical experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment.
State-required electrical certification or license (Journeyman, Wireman, or equivalent).
Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar components such as panels, inverters, batteries, and generators.
Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
Commission new solar systems and upgrades with NEC/AHJ/utilities compliance.
Use diagnostic tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging.
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
Follow safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
Respond to emergency service calls and warranty repairs.
Communicate with homeowners and customers regarding status and recommendations.
Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.

Otovo is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician to join our growing renewable energy team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you'll service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators.

This position is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys hands‑on technical work, solving complex problems, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the transition to clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment
Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments
Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring compliance with NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements
Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation
Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout processes, and fall protection requirements
