Job summary

Lumpkin Industries is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to operate a fully equipped company service truck across Metro Atlanta. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, with training provided for hydraulic hose work.

Key duties include on-site service, hose assembly fabrication, and maintaining gear and paperwork. Expect after-hours rotations and steady, independent work with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Ability to learn hydraulic hose basics with training provided.
• Strong driving record and physical stamina for fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer job sites across Metro Atlanta.
• Diagnose hydraulic hose failures and related equipment issues.
• Manufacture replacement hydraulic hose assemblies on the service truck.
• Remove and install hose assemblies and test repairs when possible.
• Explain repairs professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain the service truck, tools, and inventory in good order.
• Complete accurate service documentation.
• Participate in after-hours emergency rotations roughly every 4–5 weeks.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

$80,000-$100,000+ Per Year | $3,000 Starting Bonus

Metro Atlanta | Full-Time Field Service

Tired of working inside the same shop every day? Run your own fully equipped service truck, work independently throughout Metro Atlanta, troubleshoot equipment problems, and help customers get their equipment back to work.

A large part of this position involves diagnosing hydraulic hose failures and manufacturing replacement hose assemblies on your truck. Hydraulic hose experience is NOT required - we will train you in that specialized skill.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced mechanic who already knows how to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment using sound judgment. We can teach hydraulic hose. What we need you to bring is mechanical ability, independence, professionalism, integrity, customer-service skills, pride in your workmanship, and a positive attitude.

Relevant Mechanical Backgrounds

Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial or Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Farm Equipment Mechanic, Field Service Technician, Forklift or Crane Technician, Railroad or Military Mechanic, or an Automotive Technician with strong diagnostic ability. Other mechanically demanding troubleshooting and repair backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

• $80,000-$100,000+ annual earning potential.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical experience with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment using sound judgment.
• Physical agility and stamina for field-service work.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, DOT physical, and criminal background check.
