Job summary

Lumpkin Industries Inc. is looking for an ON-SITE Hose Repair Technician in Buford, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have medium mechanical skills and be familiar with tools. This position offers a salary range of $70K-$100K with a $3000 starting bonus along with additional seasonal bonuses, health insurance, retirement plan, and various job-related perks.

The technician will be responsible for installing hydraulic hoses, maintaining equipment, and providing customer service while ensuring safety and efficiency in various working conditions.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screen.
• Clean driving record required.
• Passing a DOT physical is necessary.
• A criminal background check is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Removal, identification, fabrication, and installation of hydraulic hoses.
• Provide after-hour on-call assistance on a rotating basis.
• Maintain and clean work truck, inventory, and tools.
• Generate new business through sales calls.

Job Description (but Not Limited To)

• Removal, Identification, Fabrication, and Installation of hydraulic and like hoses.
• Cranking and testing equipment.
• Provide after hour on-call assistance. 4-6 days a week. Every 5th to 6th week rotation.
• Evaluate the condition of equipment and recognition of any other potential hose failure.
• Check and fill hydraulic oil where required.
• Deliver hose and other products.
• Maintain clean, well-running work truck, inventory, and tools provided.
• Communicate cause and correction to customer.
• Provide copy of on-site service order to customer.
• Collect payment from customers where required.
• Maintain current accounts with regular visits and correspondence.
• Generate new business through sales calls and provide records thereof.
• Keep a daily log and DOT checklist.
• Assist in training new employees.

Physical Requirements

• Drive medium duty commercial truck.
• Work outdoors under varying conditions: hot, cold, rain, dirt, mud, noise, bad smells, heights, etc.
• Occasionally lift and/or move 80 pounds.
• Be able to work with tools in confined spaces, on the ground, inside and around heavy equipment and machinery, etc.
• Be flexible to use tools efficiently.
• Keep steady work pace with safety always first.
