Position Summary

Fives North American Combustion, Inc. (HQ: Cleveland) is hiring a full‑time Field Service Technician to join our team in Cuyahoga Heights, OH.

Fives North American Combustion is a subsidiary of the renowned Fives Group (HQ: Paris) with over 100 years in industrial combustion. We design, manufacture, install, and service combustion systems for industries such as aluminum, steel, forging, incineration, oil and gas, mineral, paper, glass, and food. Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers onsite as the second technician to support more complex service work
• Work under supervision while developing skills for solo service on smaller, more basic jobs
• Provide electrical and mechanical support during equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
• Assist with fuel train assembly, testing, and other shop tasks when not in the field
• Join site crews during component and electrical installation stages to gain experience and help free up Engineers
• Support external and internal sales opportunities

Qualifications

• Availability to travel, up to 80%
• Work experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
• Hands‑on mechanical and electrical system work
• Understanding of reading drawings and developing BOMs for costing
• Electrical competency required; training provided
• Multi‑role flexibility with willingness to learn and assist in shop and field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial process control or directly related field
• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology preferred
• Willingness to relocate to Cleveland for training; relocation may not be required depending on skill set and years of experience
