Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Service Technician Trainee to support field service operations across assigned territory. You will perform preventive service, troubleshoot equipment, and provide excellent customer experience, reporting to the Service Manager.

You will participate in training at our Air Academy, work with Senior Technicians, and rotate into a 24/7 on-call pool. You must reside within commuting distance and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• Computer skills to complete work orders.
• Customer-focused with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair compressors, dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
• Pressure wash and clean equipment pads and surrounding areas.
• Communicate with customer and Service Manager about services and options for repairs or upgrades.
• Fill out service reports, warranty forms, start-up forms, oil sample forms, and parts returns.
• Attend training at Air Academy and work with Senior Technicians.
• Promote safety and proper PPE usage.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with travel to customer locations.
• Subject to random drug testing.

Job description

To best serve our customers, we are increasing our presence within our field service area. This supports our mission of providing safe and high-quality service that is performed with great efficiency to our customers. As a Service Technician Trainee, you are an important part of this mission. You will be close to your customers and service our products to provide a great customer experience. You will report to the Service Manager.

• You will perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), drains, controllers, low-pressure blowers
• You will pressure wash (where possible) and effectively clean the customer's entire equipment pad including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
• You will communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
• You will fill out all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents,
• You will attend training at our Air Academy as well as train with Senior Service Technicians
• You will promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment
• You will set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• You will participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager with travel to customer locations.
• You will be subject to random drug testing

To succeed, you will need

You have a valid driver's license and are fluent in English.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• You can lift to 50 lbs. regularly and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• You have a basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• You can use computers to complete work orders
• You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.

This position requires that you reside within reasonable commute (within 30 minutes to one hour) of the assigned territory. Proof of residency will be required. The position requires that you must be able to park a company issued, branded service vehicle at your place of residence without any restrictions.

• $24.70 - $36.55/hr *Salary is based on knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary has been geographically adjusted based on cost-of-living factors. This position is overtime eligible
