• Able to lift 50 lbs safely.
• Maintain a valid driver's license; ability to obtain a CDL.

Gerhart is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our talented team working remotely in our Albany, NY territory. Our ideal candidates should be driven, ready to be hands-on, have outstanding communication skills, a “can-do” attitude, and excel working in an ever-changing work environment. Our Field Service Technicians will work closely in the field with seasoned technicians to gain knowledge in all aspects of industrial weighing equipment with testing, repairing, calibrating, installations, industrial processes and more.

To perform this job successfully, individuals should have the qualifications as listed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of field services including: installation, calibration, and maintenance of customer equipment
• Accurately record and maintain testing data in accordance with defined standards
• Ability to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment.
• Communicate findings and solutions to customers while establishing positive relationships
• Maintain an efficient work schedule keeping our customers informed on scheduled service

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of 120VAC wiring and/or DC signal wiring
• Strong problem solving & critical thinking skills
• Offer exceptional customer service and communicate effectively
• Able to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb. for extended periods of time in a safe manner
• Maintain a valid drivers license with ability to obtain a CDL
