Job summary

Accel Entertainment, Inc. is seeking field-based Technicians to cover Illinois venues, including bars, restaurants, gas stations and truck stops.

The role is 40 hours per week with a night shift 9:00pm–5:30am, Sunday to Thursday, with higher pay for weekends and second/third shifts. You will respond to service calls, troubleshoot and repair equipment, manage parts inventory, complete device logs, and provide strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer-service skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Terminal Handler’s License provided by company.
• Strong communication and ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy helpful but not required.
• Minimum age 21.
• May lift/push up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in ATM, gaming, HVAC, or related fields preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and troubleshoot service calls for equipment repairs in a timely manner.
• Interact with clerks, restaurant staff, management, and customers to solve issues as they arise.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Manage inventory to ensure parts are available when repairs are needed.
• Complete all necessary documentation for device entry and logs.
• Perform auditing procedures on slot machines, amusement devices, dispensers, and ATMs.
• Maintain and repair gaming devices, ATMs, amusement equipment, and redemption devices.
• Load and unload supplies, and assist in other areas as needed.

Position Basics

Technicians are field‑based, working 40 hours per week in bars, restaurants, gas stations, truck stops, and similar venues across Illinois.

• Hourly rate: $18–$30, depending on experience and proficiency.
• Shift: 9:00pm–5:30am, Sunday–Thursday (Friday & Saturday off).
• Additional differential for weekend and second/third shifts.
• Shift begins at the employee’s residence; company‑supplied vehicle and fuel card provided.
• Company training available for inexperienced candidates.

Compensation

Base salary range: $18.00 – $32.00 per hour. Salary is determined by qualifications, experience level, and skill set.
