Job summary

IsoTalent is seeking a Field Service Technician (Mechatronics) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated electric press and part handling systems across North America, with occasional travel to Europe. You will work hands-on with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep customer equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, for days to weeks at a time.
  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical or Mechatronics technology OR 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Proficiency with common troubleshooting and measuring tools (multimeter, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Installing new equipment and performing customer acceptance tests.
  • Providing remote technical support to the customer base.
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues onsite, performing repairs, and testing to confirm successful fixes.
  • Delivering maintenance and operational training to customer personnel.
  • Writing detailed, accurate reports upon job completion.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

A Day in the Life of the Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting sophisticated electric press and part handling systems in the field. You'll work hands-on with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ensuring customers across North America (and occasionally Europe) get the most out of their equipment. Your work directly supports the company's reputation for reliability and technical excellence in advanced manufacturing.
