Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Field Service Technician to support installation, maintenance and repair of automated packaging equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, travel extensively across the US, and provide on-site customer training.

Requirements include a Technical Associate degree or equivalent, PLC/PC systems familiarity, and strong communication with a dedication to customer service. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles; willingness to travel 75% within US and sometimes internationally.

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design requiring high technical skill and independent problem-solving.
• Ensure all inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
• Direct or oversee customer's personnel during plant machinery installations/servicing.
• May customize machine programs on-site to meet customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain 24-hour on-call status and provide technical support by phone.
• Provide factory floor support when not on customer service travel.
• Provide customer training on operation and service of our machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs in the field.

Matrix Packaging Machinery is seeking a talented Field Service Technician. You'll support the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging equipment. You'll solve mechanical and electrical challenges for customers with your strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Installation, integration, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design requiring a high level of technical skill/knowledge and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
• Directs and or oversees customer's personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations or servicing (repair and/or troubleshooting).
• May provide on-site customizing of machine programs by revising programs to meet the customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support.
• Will provide factory floor support when not providing customer field service support/travel.
• Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of our machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs will in the field.

Job Requirements

• Successful candidate must possess knowledge/skills of mechanical and electrical principles and be willing to travel extensively within the US and, from time to time, internationally.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus.
• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful.
• Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to train customer personnel on equipment.
• Prefer experience in flexible packaging material machinery.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in machinery repair.
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• Technical Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75%.

Salary

Salary Range: $37.00 - $50.00 per hour.
