Reporting To

Service Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

Execute service work according to agreed workflows, ABB standards, and safety guidelines. Specialize in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power systems, including UPS, PDU, STS, and related systems. Ensure continuous, reliable operation of mission-critical infrastructure for data centers, hospitals, telecommunications, and other environments requiring uninterrupted power.

The work model for this role is remote. You will contribute to the Electrification Smart Power division in the southeast.

Main Responsibilities

1. Perform service tasks, identify technical problems, and analyze issues through remote or on-site activities across various service categories.
2. Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing service work aligned with customer expectations and building good relationships, while identifying new sales opportunities.
3. Coordinate and ensure availability and quality standards of materials, parts, and equipment for service activities.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
5. Prepare documentation and reports for customer representatives, and follow up on work completed.
6. Proactively identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
7. Suggest product and quality improvements, and communicate these internally.
8. Apply safety and environmental practices, reporting unsafe practices and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology with 1+ years of experience, or Associate's degree with 3+ years, or 5+ years of relevant work/military experience servicing critical power equipment.
• Electrical licenses or certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, NICET, NFPA70E, OSHA 10/30).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work with urgency and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; moderate skills in project management tools like MS Project or Excel.
• Experience with SAP and Salesforce is a plus.

Base salary is expected to range from $57,400 to $106,600 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
