Job summary

T B C Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to inspect, tear down, repair and maintain heavy equipment at customer sites across Texas. You will diagnose defects on hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and train with the latest innovations in heavy equipment operations.

Role requires outdoor work, occasional overnight travel, and adherence to safety protocols. On-call and overtime may apply based on client needs and Field Service Manager directions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hydraulic and technical experience in open and closed hydraulic systems.
• Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders.
• Experience with DC voltage.
• AC voltage experience is a plus.
• Welding and oxy-acetylene torch knowledge.
• Skills in using heavy equipment and power tools.
• Must pass drug test and have clean TX driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, tear down and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems from start to finish.
• Diagnose defects on heavy duty equipment (screening plants, rock crushers, conveyors, belt scales, rock breakers).
• Perform preventive maintenance per vendor guidelines.
• Undergo periodic training on heavy equipment operations, repairs and maintenance to improve operations and customer service.
• Follow safety protocols including use of safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and hard hats.
• Drive to customer locations and may require overnight stays.
• Work primarily in an outdoor environment and during overtime/on-call periods as needed.

Job description

Job Type: Full-time with on-call & overtime

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Includes inspection, tear down and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems from start to finish.
• Must have ability to diagnose defects on heavy duty equipment, including, but not limited to screening plants, rock crushers, conveyors, conveyor belt scales, rock breakers, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to vendor guidelines.
• You will undergo periodic training with innovations in heavy equipment operations, repairs and maintenance to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide seamless customer service.
• Use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed work boots and hard hats is required.
• This position will require driving to customer specific locations and could require overnight stays.
• General mechanical knowledge required.
• Will primarily be working in an outdoor environment.
• Overtime and on-call work beyond 40 hours may be required depending on the client and the task given by the Field Service Manager.
