Job summary

Massman Companies in Alexandria, MN seeks an Experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. You will install, start up, troubleshoot, repair, and service packaging machinery at customer sites, traveling as needed to installations and service calls.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues, work with customers to identify problems, and train them on equipment operation and maintenance. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three to four years of packaging manufacturing or related technical experience.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, and controls.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Description

Massman Automation is looking for an Experienced Field Service Technician to join our team here in Alexandria, MN

You won't be sitting behind a desk all day! You'll be out in the field helping customers keep their equipment running and performing at its best.

• Install, start up, troubleshoot, repair, and service packaging machinery
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues
• Work directly with customers to identify problems and find solutions
• Travel to customer locations for installations, service calls, and equipment support
• Train and coach customers on equipment operation and maintenance

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Training:

High School Diploma or GED

2-Year Associate's, Technical Degree or equivalent job-related experience

Knowledge/Skills:

• Several years of field service, industrial maintenance, machinery, or related experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, and controls
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
• Willingness to travel

Experience and/or Other Requirements:

Valid Drivers License with Clean driving record

3 - 4 years demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or related technical field, with minimum 1 year experience as a Mechanical Assembler II or III

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
