Job summary

Basin Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel and natural gas generators at customer sites. Tipton, Missouri relocation assistance or a $3,000 sign-on bonus is available.

The role requires 3–5 years in power generation or related mechanical/electrical trades and a strong problem-solving mindset. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshoot electrical systems up to 600 VAC, and document service actions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in power generation or related mechanical/electrical trades.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with diesel engines, generators, or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software and reporting tools is a plus.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is an asset or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and natural gas generators.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, repairs, and commissioning work.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, engine controls, transfer switches, switchgear, chargers, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Operate service trucks and field equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in after-hours emergency service rotation as required.
• Represent the company professionally while working at customer sites.

We are currently looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to join a growing leader in onsite power generation and distributed energy systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians looking to build a long-term career with an established company that values hands-on people and invests heavily in training and career development.

While generator experience is highly valued, we are also interested in speaking with experienced technicians from heavy-duty diesel, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, industrial maintenance, mining, trucking, or other mechanical and electrical trades who are looking to transition into the power generation industry.

Qualified candidates are eligible for either a $3,000 sign-on bonus or relocation assistance to Tipton, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and natural gas generators

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in power generation, heavy-duty diesel, industrial maintenance, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, engine repair, mining equipment, trucking, or a related mechanical/electrical trade
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on diesel engines, industrial equipment, heavy equipment, or generators
• Knowledge of AC electrical systems up to 600 VAC and DC fundamentals is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
• Comfortable using diagnostic software, computers, and digital service reporting systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and other basic computer applications
• Valid driver's license required
• CDL is considered an asset or willingness to obtain one

Generator experience is highly valued; however, we recognize that many outstanding technicians come from related industries. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting experience, and the desire to learn, comprehensive training and ongoing development will be provided.
