Job summary

Basin-Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel and natural gas generators at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations and commissioning, and document work with service reports.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in power generation or related trades, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently in the field. A sign-on bonus or relocation assistance is offered in Tipton, MO.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in power generation or related mechanical/electrical trade.
• Experience with diesel engines, industrial or heavy equipment or generators.
• Comfortable with AC electrical systems up to 600 VAC and DC fundamentals.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and basic computer apps.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and natural gas generators.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, engine controls and switchgear.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Operate service trucks and field equipment safely.
• Participate in after-hours emergency service rotation.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
