Job summary

NCR Corporation in Nashville, TN is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install, maintain, and repair self-checkout systems across assigned territories. The role requires extensive travel and rotating shifts after formal training from NCR Voyix.

Responsibilities include on-site service, preventive maintenance, and customer support, with a focus on diagnostics, safety procedures, and high reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• Local candidate to a specific geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the US and at least 18.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR Voyix fleet requirements.
• Basic PC skills, electronics knowledge, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Will travel extensively and drive several hours per day.
• Work rotating and weekend shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening starts with some holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems within an assigned territory.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and system overhauls.
• Provide first‑line support: communicate openly, triage issues, and resolve or de‑escalate problems.
• Receive and apply formal training in equipment diagnostics, customer service, and safety procedures.
