Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician/Line Bore Welder to perform complex repairs on heavy equipment with a focus on welding and line-bore work.

The role involves diagnosing issues, disassembling and repairing equipment, and testing welded surfaces at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a high school education, the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics, and a set of hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby Smith vision and values; works with minimal supervision.
• Performs repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment; welds components as required.
• Diagnoses problems and repairs using established guidelines and flat rates.
• Performs line boring and machining at customer sites and tests welds.
• Maintains safety and organization of a clean work area and equipment.
