Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform testing, maintenance, and repair of low and medium voltage electrical equipment in the shop and in the field. This role supports our Specialized Field Services team and requires hands-on electrical testing, wiring, and troubleshooting.

Candidates should have 1–5 years in industrial maintenance and at least 2 years in power systems testing, with a high school diploma and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Education: High School Diploma.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
• Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement.
• Wiring circuit breakers.
• Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment.
• Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
• Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
• Reading and plotting time-current curves.
• Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
• Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
• Able to work with electrical tools and socket sets.

Position Overview

As a Field Service Technician II you responsibilities include performing testing, maintenance and repair of low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and other electrical apparatus in the shop and in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions of practical situations.
• Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors
• Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
• Education:High School Diploma.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
