Job summary

International Game Technology (IGT) is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service gaming equipment at retailer locations across the Reno area. This role emphasizes hands-on electronics repair, travel to client sites, and operating within a safety-conscious, customer-focused environment.

The position requires reading wiring diagrams, installing and repairing devices, and collaborating with technical teams on preventive maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or IT-related training is a plus.
  • Experience in electronics, repair, field service, or a related industry.
  • Slots and gaming technician experience is a plus.
  • Must be computer literate with technical experience.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a full shift.
  • Valid driver's license and willing to deliver equipment by box trucks.
  • Willing to travel to client sites and work varied shifts, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service IGT equipment at Retailer locations.
  • Respond to dispatches and travel to customer locations within a zone to install, remove, or repair equipment and devices.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair IGT gaming machines.
  • Support technical teams to install, remove, convert, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare games.
  • Read wiring diagrams and test devices.
  • Troubleshoot with input/output tests and set up devices.
  • Test pay tables, reels, and bonus awards.
  • Coordinate data lines, fiber optics, and telephone lines maintenance.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing IGT equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various install, troubleshooting, and repair of IGT gaming machines.
  • Support Technical teams to install, remove, convert, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare games, set options and repair games in a field environment.
  • Reading and translating wiring diagrams.
  • Resolve technical problems and perform program upgrades, and download set up.
  • Testing programs with various verification devices.
  • Troubleshoot with input and output tests.
  • Set up game options and test various devices.
  • Test pay table, reel strip and bonus awards.
  • Install, repair and maintain data lines, fiber optics, and telephone lines.
  • Knowledge share with customers on basic game functionality.
  • Maintain a positive image of IGT with co-workers and IGT’s customers.
  • In-depth user-level knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Provide recomendations for improvements to procedures, etc.
Qualifications

Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical or IT-related training or education is a plus.

Experience Required

Experience in electronics, repair, field service, or a related industry.

Slots and gaming technician experience is a plus.

Skills Required

Must be computer literate and have documented technical experience.

Knowledge and understanding of AC/DC fundamentals.

Knowledge of and experience using basic tools is required.

Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied shifts, overtime, travel to client sites as needed, and on-call shifts.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a full shift.

Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Ability to adapt to various jurisdictions and effectively interface with compliance officers.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to deliver equipment using box trucks.
