Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair complex electromechanical equipment at customer locations. You will read schematics, troubleshoot electrical and PLC/HMI systems, and work with CNC controls while traveling to sites.

The role requires 2–5 years of related field service or industrial maintenance experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer communication. Travel will be substantial, up to 50–75% overnight.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years of field service, industrial maintenance, equipment installation, or related technical experience.
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong working knowledge of high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Advanced proficiency using a multimeter.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and motion-control systems.
  • Ability to read pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills and accurate digital service records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical equipment at customer locations.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for high and low voltage systems.
  • Use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and motion-control components.
  • Diagnose issues with servo drives and motors.
  • Read pneumatic schematics and maintain pneumatic systems.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble electromechanical assemblies with hand and power tools.
  • Learn CNC lathe controls and programming on Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens platforms.
  • Support CNC bar-feeding systems and related applications.
  • Communicate professionally with end users and OEMs; provide installation guidance and training.
  • Document service calls and technical information in digital files.
  • Travel overnight 50%–75% of the time.
