Job summary

BlueFin Services LLC in Lafayette, LA, is seeking a Service Technician I to perform field tasks such as high-velocity flushing, NAS filtration, chemical cleaning, hydro-blasting, umbilical services, and pressure testing under supervision.

You will travel across the United States and Gulf of Mexico, staying overnight for extended periods, and be available for offshore and land-based jobs on a 24-hour call basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform field services as directed and in accordance with work plan, procedures and/or SOP, and ability to distinguish the work at hand from the work plan/procedure and how to proceed
• Service, maintain, repair, and test equipment/ tools for pre/post jobs or as instructed in shop
• Understanding of how to operate pump(s), filtration services, flushing of certain process systems, process flows and drawings, tools that are used, etc.
• Load/ unload equipment when required
• Ability to learn all equipment used in the field
• Ability to identify issues on the job
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
• Communicate effectively with co-workers both office and field related
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Participate in writing Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) for job task assigned
• Increase knowledge and participate in training on other product lines and services
• Participation and Compliance with BlueFin HSE and Quality Management System
• Required to work on both land and offshore jobs
• Available 24-hour call (except for scheduled PTO)
• Have reliable means of transportation to and from BlueFin office
• Travels through United States and Gulf of Mexico; staying overnight for extended periods
• Other duties as assigned
