Job summary

Clean Harbors in Urbana, IL is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to plan, lead, organize and coordinate the daily operations of the service line crew. This role includes ensuring proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies at the work site, and timely documentation of job activities.

New hires attend a two‑week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered by the company as paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental field service operations or related industries.
• Willingness/ability to travel overnight up to 2-4 nights per month.
• On-call availability for emergency response situations.
• Strong client communication and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to manage, reconcile, and review job-related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused operations and ensure compliance with all safety policies.
• Ensure equipment readiness and proper operation before starting jobs.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to prevent accidents and ensure client requirements.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as needed and document it.
• Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes.
• Oversee crew performance, enforce policies, and meet deadlines with efficient resource use.
