Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Houston seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer for rotating equipment overhaul, inspection, repair and installation support before, during and after field work.

You will lead the development of technical procedures, project plans, and Inspection Test Plans, and you will prepare inspection records forms and BOMs for complex refinery projects. Travel up to 75% is required, with reports to the Pearland Works facility when not traveling.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school and/or trade school required.
• 10+ yrs experience in rotating equipment and machinery (centrifugal compressor and steam turbine preferred).
• 10+ yrs experience in refinery and petrochemical industry.
• Able to read, comprehend, and translate technical drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel etc.), Adobe.
• Intermediate or higher level of computer skills (email, internet etc.)
• Expert in rotating equipment alignment (laser and dial indicator)
• Must be willing to travel by air when required.
• Must be willing to work night shift when required
• Ability to travel up to 75% (Must be willing to report to Pearland Works facility when not traveling)
• TWIC cardholder
• Passport holder

Responsibilities

• Provide project management, advisory work, and field support for listed equipment.
• Develop detailed technical procedures and procedures-related documents.
• Create and review project plans and inspection test plans.
• Develop inspection records forms, drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure safety, quality and schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
