Job summary

Insightec is a growing medical technology company transforming patient lives through incisionless surgery. The Field Service Specialist will install and maintain imaging systems, travel extensively in the eastern U.S., and provide both on-site and remote support.

Ideal candidates hold an AS in Electrical/Biomedical/CS with 3+ years in medical system field service (MRI preferred), plus strong electronics, mechanical, and networking skills. Willingness to travel and work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering (BS preferred).
• 3+ years field service for medical imaging systems (MRI preferred).
• Multidisciplinary capital equipment service knowledge.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose hardware electronics (analog & digital) and troubleshoot software & networking.
• Ability to interpret varied instructions and timelines.
• Very organized and detail oriented.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Field Service Specialist - Philadelphia, PA area (FSS will provide service in eastern PA, DE, NJ, NY, & assist in NYC as needed).

What you will be doing:

• Installation/implementation of new systems
• Periodic maintenance and system repairs
• Providing technical remote support for systems
• System troubleshooting and diagnosis of source of failures
• Maintenance and service reporting / documentation

Qualifications:

• AS Degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering (BS preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience in field service for medical systems (imaging - preferred 5+ years MRI)
• Multidisciplinary capital equipment service knowledge
• Good technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, & pneumatic systems
• Ability to solve hardware electronics issues (analog & digital) & troubleshoot software & networking issues
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Very organized & detail oriented
• Capable of working independently & as part of a team
• Good oral and written communication skills

Additional Information:

• Ability to work in 2nd and 3rd shifts and ~80% travel
