Job summary

Veolia Water Technology seeks a Field Service Representative in Texas to install, maintain and troubleshoot water treatment systems across multiple technologies, including RO, ion exchange, and filtration.

You will work on site with customers, perform analytical testing, manage parts and chemicals, and create detailed service summaries. Travel is modest; the role emphasizes safety, accuracy and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Live within 30–45 minutes of the job location.
• TWIC card or eligible to obtain one; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment (valves, air compressors, pumps, instrumentation).
• Create and maintain site paperwork; provide technical summaries of work performed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals; ensure adequate supply.
• Monitor and adjust chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, pH, chlorine, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC).
• Enter work orders in MaintainX; complete tasks as assigned.

Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies, including media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Key Characteristics:

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Enter and complete work orders in Maintenance Program (MaintainX)
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

• 5% travel (training/other site visits)
• Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
• Working with chemicals for water treatment

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required

• Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Live within 30min - 45min to the job location

Preferred Skill

• Forklift Experience/Training
• 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical plants
• Water treatment experience

Education & Experience:

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Current TWIC Card is required OR eligible to get oneCurrent Driver’s License

Preferred

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
