Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance on water treatment systems for customers across diverse industries. You will work with technologies including media filtration, wastewater treatment, RO, IX, de-oxygenation, EDI and ultrafiltration, performing maintenance, calibration and on-site problem solving.

• Electrical, chemical, or mechanical technical experience.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel 5%.
• Live within 30–45 minutes of the job location.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on valves, pumps, and instrumentation.
• Create and maintain site paperwork with detailed technical summaries.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals and ensure supply.
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, pH, chlorine, etc.) and other site tests.
• Enter and close work orders in MaintainX.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Job Summary

As a Field Service Representative, you'll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies, including media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Key Characteristics

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Enter and complete work orders in Maintenance Program (MaintainX)
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• 5% travel (training/other site visits)
• Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
• Working with chemicals for water treatment

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required

• Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Live within 30min - 45min to the job location

Preferred Skill

• Forklift Experience/Training
• 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical plants
• Water treatment experience

Education & Experience

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years' experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Current TWIC Card is required OR eligible to get one
• Current Driver's License

Preferred

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
