Job summary

Clean Harbors in Hutto, TX seeks a Field Service Project Manager to lead the HAZMAT Emergency Response team on a Samsung project. The inside PM will manage large-scale waste site cleanup, remediation, and decontamination efforts, coordinating with supervisors and the Branch Manager.

New hires must attend a one-week training at our Academy out of state; expenses are covered by the company and training is paid. The role supports safety-driven project delivery and customer relationship development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of environmental field service operations experience.
• Strong environmental remediation background.
• Emergency response supervisor training and/or Marine Spill Response training preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulation.
• Cost estimating and computer experience.
• Previous experience in Emergency Response.

Job description

Clean Harbors in Hutto, TX is looking for a Field Service Project Manager to join our HAZMAT Emergency Response team. This will be an inside Project Manager for Samsung. The FSPM is responsible for managing large-scale projects. You will work directly with other team members, Supervisors, as well as the Branch Manager. You will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response (emergency spill cleanup), hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation (tank and pit cleaning), equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Please note: This position requires new hires to attend training at our Academy out of state for one week. Expenses are covered by the company and it is paid training.

This will be an Inside PM position for Samsung.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Manages and oversees small to large technically complex projects involving waste site clean-up and construction, building and equipment decontamination and demolition.
• Prepare proposals, including cost estimates and work scopes and schedules.
• Act as an agent of business and is involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding the customer issues.
• Ability to provide timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
• Provides technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates and subcontractor selection and procurement.
• Enforce the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the district's health and safety record. Works closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
