Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Programmer - Controls/Automation for a growing automation systems integrator. The role focuses on PLC programming and control-system deployments across oil & gas, food & beverage, and water/wastewater sectors.

You will work with field instrumentation, process instrumentation, VFDs, and motor controls to implement robust automation solutions. Travel will be required 50-75% within the Midwest region.

Qualifications

• AAS or Bachelors degree in engineering required.
• PLC programming experience required.
• Field instrumentation and process instrumentation experience preferred.
• Experience with VFDs and motor controls.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% in the Midwest region.
• Familiarity with SCADA software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs for process control systems.
• Configure and commission field instrumentation and sensors.
• Select, install, and troubleshoot VFDs and motor controls.
• Support system integration and commissioning activities.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Midwest as needed.
