Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. in Kentucky seeks an experienced Controls & Automation Technician to support industrial process control systems in a manufacturing environment.

You will program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems, and assist with commissioning and start-up of automation projects. You will work with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve process performance, reliability, and safety, document control systems, and participate in upgrades and capital

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial controls or automation experience.
• Proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Knowledge of HMI development and industrial networks.
• Familiar with process instrumentation, field devices, and low-voltage control.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or other continuous-process industries preferred.
• Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems.
• Support commissioning and startup of automation projects.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, control hardware, and industrial networks.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve process performance, reliability, and safety.
• Support control system upgrades and capital projects.
• Provide operator and maintenance training as needed.
