Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies seeks a Field Service Millwright to install, align, and service industrial machinery across multiple sites. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and work with engineers to deliver upgrades. The role requires reading drawings, welding and rigging skills, and the ability to travel for projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial, mechanical maintenance or field service.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and equipment.

• Inspect components for wear, damage and alignment issues.
• Read blueprints, schematics and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Repair or replace components and fabricate parts as needed.

Competitive Pay:This position offersanhourly wage ranging from$29/hr. to $40hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage, and alignment issues.
• Use precision tools such as laser alignment systems, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Fabricate or modify equipment and parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment when necessary.
• Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other trades to complete equipment installations or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent using CMMS or job tracking systems.
• Capable of working independently with little to no supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
• Ability to travel to job and customer sites as required.

What You'll Need:

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial, mechanical maintenance, or field service role.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with rigging, hoisting, welding, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in industrial settings.
• Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.).
• Certifications in welding, rigging, forklift operation, or confined space entry.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis or predictive maintenance tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and complete overnight stays for multiple consecutive days, as required by customer and project needs.
