Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A in Charleston, SC to maintain and repair fleet at customer sites. You will work independently, perform preventative maintenance, and support customers with hands-on expertise.

The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) match, employee stock purchase program, and PTO accrual. Candidates must have a high school diploma and relevant mechanical skills.

Formación

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate and test a variety of equipment.
• Ownership of common hand and power tools for repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to be on call.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for Herc fleet at customer sites.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, and related services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment ensuring safe operation on job sites.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Provide customer education on proper equipment use to prevent breakdowns.
• Prepare detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain tidy jobsite areas.
