Job summary

Join Xylem as an Engineering Technician Supervisor overseeing a technician team in a global water solutions company. You will schedule, train, supervise, and ensure quality and safety across projects, while coordinating with other departments and managing budgets.

We seek a bachelor’s degree in engineering tech or related field with at least 4 years of experience, including 1 year in people management, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering technology, industrial management, or related field with at least 4 years experience and at least 1 year as a people manager or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in Engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to manage technical teams and coordinate complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Training and development of technicians.
  • Scheduling and assigning tasks to technicians.
  • Supervising and monitoring technicians' work performance.
  • Ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
  • Maintaining inventory and purchasing supplies.
  • Conducting quality control checks on completed work.
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to technicians.
  • Creating and implementing standard operating procedures for technicians.
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate and prioritize work.
