Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz USA is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead remote field service teams in support of Air Traffic Controller systems in Frederick, MD. You will coordinate complex installation events, manage schedules, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

The role demands strong leadership, experience with RF/electrical fundamentals, and the ability to travel extensively, including domestic and occasional international trips.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience and a technical or business degree.
• Supervisory or Lead experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Air Traffic Controller Systems or IP-based voice systems.
• Ability to understand RF and electrical fundamentals and read technical docs.
• Experience coordinating time-sensitive technician deployments.
• Project management experience; PMP/PMI certification is a plus.
• MS Excel data manipulation to analyze and present data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Based near a major US airport.
• Willing to travel at least 50% (domestic; some international).
• On-call availability and after-hours responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead remote field service technician teams to achieve best-in-class metrics.
• Coordinate multiple complex system installation events and maintenance activities.
• Plan logistics to task technicians, subcontractors, tools and parts.
• Document site survey results ahead of installation.
• Manage complex cross‑department projects and deliverables.
• Promote continuous improvement using problem solving and lean tools.
• Manage customer escalations and ensure high service quality.
• Provide feedback to development teams on product performance.
