Job summary

Texas Native is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain field and shop equipment. You will operate a service truck, travel to AWR sites, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to keep machinery running safely.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of CAT/John Deere/Cummins engines, and proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years verifiable heavy equipment mechanic experience (field and/or shop).
• Experience diagnosing engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspensions.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software (John Deere, CAT, Cummins).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment in field and shop.
• Operate service truck and travel to sites for field repairs.
• Read manuals and schematics; follow OEM troubleshooting trees.
• Document work in AMCS and report status to supervisor.
• Maintain PPE, safety rules, and equipment cleanliness.
